"I love you more than a pretty girl loves French macaroons."
Macaroons are more than a Parisian delicacy dessert - they're a fashion statement. It's true, especially in Japan. Keychains, notepads, pencils... loads of different things are adorned or in the design of macaroons here in Tokyo. For example, I have a macaroon keychain on my Japanese cellphone that conveniently opens up with a zipper in the middle, basically splitting the macaroon open and allowing me to hide goodies inside (usually my pills, nbd). And I also recently purchased a letter set decorated with pretty, pastel colored macaroons, which I'm using right now to send letters to my roommates in Canada. I've had macaroons before and, I must say, they are delicious. I love them. They're cute and tasty - what's a girl not to like about them?
Apparently macaroons are rather difficult to make, but I came across a book that teaches you step-by-step just how to make them at home! I want this book. I'd love to make those cute heart shaped macaroons for my special someone♡
Note: the book is written by Hisako Ogita, a Japanese woman, further proving my point that Japanese girls are obsessed with them. Also, macaroons is spelled incorrectly. Ah Japlish. How you never seize to make me laugh hysterically.
