New Theme Song?

So, I was skyping with one of my closest guy friends the other day and he decided to prove to me just how well he knew me by describing my personality. He then proceeded to seed me this youtube link, claiming this song reminds him of me every time he listens to it. At first I didn't agree, but after listening to it... yeeeeahh, that is me :P

I love Burlesque! <3

Growing

So before I start blogging about what I ACTUALLY want to blog about, I'm going to comment on the poem I wrote a couple of days ago, just because it's so incredibly random and has really nothing to do with everything else I've ever posted. I tend to write poetry when I'm confused, in love, in pain - you name it. It's the best way to let everything out (oh how my IB Higher Level English teacher would be proud). The poem below is of me being confused. Being back in Japan with my family is great, but I wish for the freedom I had back in Canada with my lovely roommates. And yes, the poem is purposely incredibly vague ;)

NOW, it was my beautiful friend Giulia's birthday yesterday, and to celebrate we rented a limo and rode around downtown Tokyo, went to a pub, sang karaoke, and then ended the night at a club. Jealous? I know you are. Don't deny it.

I know you're probably expecting me to blog about this wonderful experience, but honestly I'm here to comment on my hair. WHAT? WHAT IS THE CONNECTION? Well I'll tell you. Giulia, the birthday girl, had her hair up in a hot ponytail at the beginning of the night (she has a bad habit of changing her hairstyle every two seconds) and it made me wish my hair was longer so that I could pull that off. I mean, if I did that now, I'd look like Pippy Long Stockings. Only with one ponytail instead of matching piggies. It would unattractively stick out and be incredibly inappropriate for a night out on the city. So this blog post is dedicated to pictures of said magnificent hairstyle, and me saying that I'm growing my hair out. And I wish it would hurry, damn it.

Adriana Lima. Enough said.

Blake Lively. Also enough said.

Love Rihanna, but not a fan of the bangs here... a bit on the greasy side, I'm afraid.

Not a fan of Miley (sorry - you're lovely but I can't stand your country accent.. which is ironic because I have redneck family).

Keira Knightley♡ fell in love with her in Pirates of the Caribbean, of course.

And of course a picture of a complete random that happens to be attractive and rather photogenic.

So hair, I'm biding you to grow. Please. Soon. Now would be nice.

Today's Poem

Enthusiasm spilling - Overflowing
Clutched; beating chest -
Wanting, your desire
with, and like, the flaming sunrise
yet cold, damp -
You know nothing.

Can you not even Pretend? my
Obligations, consequences -
I try to flee - will you let me
Yet no memory...
intense but fleeting -
Treasure and cherish this moment

with me.

Curlscurlscurls!

So today I was confined to my house (so as to not spend any money), and decided to play with my hair a little. I don't usually curl my hair, and I RARELY put it up, but I thought, meh, it's hot today. Might as well. So using a standard hair clip from goody, I put my hair up and curled the front strands of my fringe. This paired with my dark red lipstick makes me feel a bit like a royal vampire princess (lol). But seriously.

Cute but super casual.
Much love! xoxo

Innocence with Sin

So I'm getting a tattoo tomorrow. Yup, it's finalized! My appointment is at 12 and I'm veeeery excited, but I'm still debating on what I want :S I've decided it will be behind my ear. One of my roommates back at college has a beautiful and simple butterfly behind her ear, and I just think it's a subtle yet romantic place to put a tattoo. I'm currently debating on whether I want a yellow rose, yellow jasmine, or white jasmine (each with a branch and some leaves) behind my left ear... any suggestions?

Here are some beautiful pictures I found online of tattoos that I feel in love with at first sight. Enjoy♡

Dean&Deluca

Looking at blogs, I find that pictures are what make looking at them worth while. I'm really into fashion, as any girl my age should be, and was very fond of my outfit today, so I thought I'd upload it here. I am by no means planning to make this blog only for my everyday outfits, as I want to upload poems, paintings, and drawings I do too. But hey, for now this is what I will upload :)

I really dislike my face in this picture... my eyes are more asian than they usually are and my cheeks are so large and round -__-; not attractive. But I loved my outfit <3

What to do with my hair...

Herro :3

So I recently dyed my hair back to it's natural color (a dark, ash brown) for "professional" reasons, meaning simply that I got a job teaching English as a private tutor and thought my blonde highlights were a bit much. i didn't change the length of it, however, because I am currently in the process of growing it out.

Now, I'm one of those people who don't usually do anything but straighten or curl their hair, but I've recently become a big fan of 髪飾り (hair ornaments). I went to the new shopping center near my house yesterday and spent close to $50 in yen on new bobby pins, barrettes, you name it (no hairbands, though, as I'm not a big fan of those).

This is a picture of me taken by yours truly on photobooth and altered slightly on picnik - my new favorite barrette placed nicely behind my left ear. Other than half up, which can often make you look childish, I usually opt for this casual, yet pretty side-sweep. It helps keep my hair in place and adds a little extra something to my outfit.

cold, rainy & humid...

So I'm back in Japan (yay!) but it's rainy and humid (ugh). And all I can think is, what does one wear on a day like this? I actually gave up going out on a date today just because I seriously couldn't think of ANYTHING to wear. You wear jeans but then the humidity causes them to stick to you and you feel disgusting. You wear shorts and the rain is cold but you sweat behind your knees because of the humidity. T-shirt or tank top? Cardigan or jacket? Is a jacket too heavy? But just a cardigan is a bit chilly... so maybe a heavy cardigan? Damn I don't have one of those. maybe if I wear long sleeves underneath... ugh that looks terrible. OH MY GOD, what about shoes?! Heels? Booties or sandals... This has been my thought process this entire morning. If anyone has ANY suggestions on what to wear on a cold but humid and terribly rainy day, I would greatly appreciate it. It's going to be the rainy season soon here in Tokyo and if I don't know what to wear, I seriously will never leave my house. But actually...

So today I'm in my apartment, drinking hot green tea, and doing some artwork. I suppose painting makes me feel productive since I failed in leaving my house today... Maybe I'll watch some more Bones.
